Idaho Jack Adapters
These are about at the end. I have 15 left and when they are gone they are gone for good. The adapters fit 2000 to 2008 1500 and 1600 cc Vulcans, all models. The kit is $50 plus shipping which for anywhere in the lower 48 is $20. The kit includes the adapter frame, pins, instructions and a safety ribbon. email me at hbsmalley@aol.com.

You don't need one for a 2012 because the frame on that bike is flat and sits below the engine.
Congrats

No, they fit the 1500 and 1600 Vulcans.
The 1700's have chassis rails that are farther apart than the 1500/1600 and most motorcycle lifts have lifting arms that are not long enough to span the rails. A solution is to buy 2 pieces of 3 by 3 angle iron that are longer than the lifting arms on your lift and attach it to the lifting arms on your lift. I cant remember what length I bought, maybe 15 inches. Look under the engine and measure the distance between the frame rails and add on about 3 inches. Remember when you remove a wheel the centre of gravity shifts so block the front wheel if you remove the rear wheel, and vice versa.
