You're Not Going To Believe This
Three weeks ago I was at Bike Week in Daytona.
I took the MeanStreak up and met a friend from Charlotte. On Friday we ended up at Destination Daytona, Rossmeyer's big store. They had a 2016 police bike out front by the door with a KILLER price on it. After thinking about it all night, and checking the values with KBB and NADA, I went back and ended up buying a 2016 Harley FLHPI, a Road King police bike with 9300 miles on it. What a pain trying to get two bikes home from Daytona. The MeanStreak sold last weekend. The difference is night and day. Drinking the Kool-Aid ended up not being so bad.

Should have called me. Would have come up north and would have rode one back for you. Just sitting in front of our hotel in Florida city with a beer and a good cigar.
Cu, Sven

Mas,
Plans for the FLHPI? Or, are you just going to enjoy it for awhile? Congratulations! Ride Safe, Smokier

Some things never change.
As a police bike it came all solo'd out. I put a set of HD passenger floorboards on, they came off just as soon as I backed it up a couple of feet. Now I'm looking to make a set of Kaw pegs work. I added the quick release hardware at the rear fender, and tried to put a leather covered trunk on, but it has the older QR rack which is about 1.25 inches wider and the QR points are about 1" further apart. Time to make a rack for the trunk or an adapter so the 2 different QR set-ups work together. It will get a fairing. So no, it won't stay as is for long.

OK ,well usually when some one says they bought a new bike they post an actual picture in the thread, not change their avatar.
Be that as it may, calling someone a fool hurts their feelings, I am a very sensitive person so I will be off line for the rest of the day while I try to regain my sense of composure.

I'm offended that you would call me a liar just because I didn't conform to your way of doing things. See how that little flip works? In reality, I was hoping someone would take the bait. Have a great Sunday, Easter, or whatever you believe in up in the PR of NY, Yankee land.!!! I'm going riding, we're heading into the low 80's today.

I considered one of those once (2008).......the local HD dealer had 10 police returns and you could take your pick for 10K. I rode one and was sorely tempted but I already had two Kawi's and a Honda and the wife would have taken a very dim view of another bike in the garage.

A friend just bought very same bike from them. Was around 11,500 if I remember correctly. Could still see the ghosting of the emblems in the tank amd fender. He loves the seat.

Yeah that flip thing was good Mas.
I did have a great Sunday, had dinner with my son and family. Yeah your right my feelings weren't really hurt. Good find on the bike.

I actually saw the your HD with the sold sign on it, congrats. My Brother-In-Law is a police officer in Jacksonville and rides a Star 900. He was looking hard at it. You snooze you lose.

Damn dude, don't scare me like that!
Yea, H-D's aren't bad bikes, just too damn expensive for me, and I've been a H-D mechanic for over 25 years.... Maybe get one later....after all, I had 'Blackie' all those years. Rebuilt the engine 3 times, rebuilt trans twice. Put 369,000 miles on her...went thru 4 paint jobs, 3 starters and it feels like 2 sets of kidneys.... Back in the early 80's, my dad & I put a 96" S&S flywheel kit in her, then later put the 5 speed trans., mikuni carb. in her. She bucked, she shook her ass off, seeped oil some, but was always pretty dependable.... I Loves my Nomad....shes rock solid....
