Looking For Windshield

I'm looking for an OEM windshield for an'06 1600 Nomad. I really only need the main glass, not the frame or small glass. Let me know what you've got and how much shipped to 85629. Thanks.

I made one from 1/8" polycarbonate for my bike. It's easy to work with and crystal clear and super cheap. Find a sign shop and they will probably sell you a piece for less than 25.make a pattern from the old one, cut it with a jigsaw, sand the edges with about 320. Drill holes slowly. Take a flame, torch, lighter and lock the edges of the holes until you see them smooth out to prevent cracks. If you've done any woodworking you could do it in an hour. The 1/8" material will conform to the metal frame no need to have a curve in it

Made one just the same way for my Vaquero, just as a temp, but left it on for the winter. Home depot has Plexiglass Brand. No not try Acrylic. And Jig saw blades for Plexi. cuts great no cracks. The torch on the ends just gives it that extra Profession touch. Clears it up nicely.

Hmmm, may give that a try if an OEM doesn't show up.

One drawback, they scratch real easy. The Plexiglass anyway. Try too find Polycarbonate.

As I said go to a sign shop. I am a sign shop. We use polycarbonate all the time and it will be cheaper than Lowe's by a lot. Lowe's does carry polycarbonate. It's the "best " in their mill works department. Plexiglas is usually acrylic. Lexan is polycarbonate.

Looked into poly. Given the local prices and need to cut and drill, I'll wait for an OEM from someone. There are a bunch of folks who've added fairings and hopefully someone wants to get rid of their old windshield....cheap.

I took the windshield off my Classic when I added the bat wing. Had the vulcan decal in it. I think it will work or you just have to get different brackets from kawasiki

Clear View windshields makes one to fit your bike and they are much better than stock.
