I don't think so, but I could be wrong....probably fits the later model nomads.
Just from looks, the port angle looks all wrong.

No they won't...1700 will not fit 1600. I went through the same thing when I found pipes.

Will they?

How much modifying are you willing to do?

Anything can be made to fit.

Find a set of 1500/1600 pipes which are plug and play.

I found a set of Cobras on e-bay 2 years ago for $225, they are some what quiet at idle and can roar if you throttle them up. I think they are great at the stop light when the police cruiser pulls up next to me.

if a police car pulls you over for loudness, just tell them that cars tend not to notice or hear bikes, so your reason for loud pipes is for your safety, also say you don't have a tach and need to hear when to shift gears by the sound of the pipes

And ensure you're wearing your "Loud Pipes Save Lives" patch. The cops really like that one too.

I too bought Cobras on ebay but paid around that $430 price. Still they are a lot less expensive than systems for Harleys, which for some reason run into the $800 range for a set of true duals.

wait, the officer might not give ya a ticket for loud pipes if you tell him or her that that last pot hole you hit knocked out both baffles, if that doesn't work then point across the street and go, 'Oh Look a robbery at that Store', then while he's looking over there hop on your bike and blast off, oh wait, that might not work, so here's what you do, keep given em stories until one of them he bites on and gives up and says to ya, ok, I heard enough, get lost

MAS an I LOVE to modify stuff to fit our bikes....you could always lop off the 1600 flanges, weld on some SS Flex Pipe, add to your exhaust. Nothing screams classic older hotrod bike from the 50s-60s like that flex tubing....
If you tig it and use a tri-mix gas on the tig, won't discolor the SS and can touchup your chrome with some silver/chrome paint hi-temp paint where you weld it to your steel exhaust pipes....looks pretty cool....

Just say your deaf and start doing sign language then maybe they will get the hint thinking you actually have no idea how loud they really are.

Only if you got a look mean enough to peel paint when your sitting at a red light.
Otherwise, stay in 5th geat at about 4000 rpm and you'll be ok.
Just don't stop to drink any water or eat any fast food....
