I'm surprised the guy in the car could keep up to the bike so easily. Had the biker cut in a parking lot or driven through somewhere off the street I'm sure he could have lost him easily.

Don't know what started it and for sure the guy on the bike was endangering himself and others the way he was riding, but man the guy in the car was clearly attempting to use his car to cause bodily harm to the rider.

I thought that too Steve, I wondered why he stuck to the main road.

Back when I first started with motorcycles I had a 125 Yamaha Enduro. I was cut off by a women in a car and I flipped her off. Big mistake, she started to chase me down. The only way I got away from her was to go off road where she couldn't go. Later on that day the Police contacted me because she wanted to file charges against me. She told them I was chasing her.

I think the motorcyclist should have chosen some different options, like pulling into parking lot, but I know it is an uncomfortable situation and stopping doesn’t really seem like a good idea. I had an idiot like that attack me with his SUV while I was going through St. Louis one time. I was in one of the middle freeway lanes going along with the flow of traffic on my Nomad. Hadn’t changed lanes, hadn’t cut anyone off, hadn’t flashed any hand signals, nothing that way, just cruising along minding my own business when this SUV roared up beside me, swerved in front of me, and jammed his brakes on. I braked and switched to the left lane and went around. He came charging up, rolled down his window and yelled something, then swerved over and cut me off again. I slowed down and shifted over to the right hand lane and merged into the traffic there. He came swerving over, tried to run me off the road. I braked, and we happened to be going past an exit, so at the last instant I swerved onto the exit ramp and left him on the freeway.
I have no idea what his problem was. I’d never been to St. Louis before and was just riding through. I have no idea what riled the guy up, but I sure was glad to get off the freeway with him stuck on it. Kept my eye out for him for many miles thereafter.

Welcome to Miami. People drive overly aggressive in this area so I usually drive the cage if I have to head down south. I have seen too many cagers getting into chasing motorcycles not to mention many are armed as well
To be fair there are crazy bikers here too so I guess stereotyping is a big part of the problem.... |

When I am on my bike I try not to piss off anybody in a vehicle who could use it to kill me
If they cut me off and I am not hit or knocked down I continue on my way with no interaction with them. Flipping them off, calling them names , hitting their mirror etc will only escalate a bad situation which the bike rider is not going to win. Stay Calm.
