Swing Arm Lubrication/Seals
I am planning on re-lubing my swing arm here shortly on my 2006 Nomad. I have read that I should replace the seals, which I agree, but I can not find a part number for these seals. Anyone know what the number may be?

The OEM # is 92049-1181 and you need 2 of them

Thanks VulcanE... I looked again after I read your response and found it under the 'Frame Fittings' section.. Didn't list it under the 'Swing Arm' section, kinda funny, but then again, the seals look like they are in the frame. Now its time to order those and get the bearing repacked.

The seals should be in the swingarm. That's what helps keep stuff getting to the bearings.

While you have the swing arm off put a grease fitting in the crossover tube. Then all you have to do is put a squirt in occasionally.

2. The seals also perform the duty of thrust bearings for the swing arm (poor design) and they wear out. The seals will need to be replaced by the time the bearings need grease. Might as well just plan on doing it about every other rear tire replacement or so.

Those seals last a lot longer than one might think. |

I have access to a machine shop, sop maybe I will take the bushing in and get the slots machined into the spacer before I re assemble it all back together. Thanks for all the input.
