wompus vs scootworks

hey all, i'm going to be buying a rack shortly and from what I've found these are the 2 trunk racks to buy. I've seen people mention that the wompus sits really high on the nomad is that the case? there are several threads and pictures on the wompus but I didn't see any for the scootworks so if anyone has pictures it would be very much appreciated.

If you're just looking for a picture of the scootworks rack. All the way down the page on the left side.

I think Wompus makes the racks for Scootworks, so they would be the same rack.

They look identical.

You can only lower it so much then you are into your license plate bracket, unless of course you lie it down.

Verified he makes the Scootworks racks. They look like they charge $50 more than he does. I bought directly from him at http://www.wompusracks.com/

I drove out to his shop and picked it up myself. Had a great visit and saw the shop and process. Mine is working great and I agree, any lower and it would be over the plate.

I know most people don't make their own but with a little skill and a welder you can. I have about $20 in mine.

Do not buy from Scootworks. They are not what they used to be.

Or you could get a Custom World International Voyageur rack and just unscrew the top plate, make a new top plate, and a have a switchable system with chrome sides.

Yes, but you are a highly skilled and trained professional.
Don't try this at home.

The Voyager rack looks awesome! as far as the license plate, my tail end is a little different then stock. If you look at my signature you can see the plate under my running light. Does the Voyager rack bolt right up?

In the not-so-distant past, Scootworks was having trouble shipping product and their customer service has gone downhill. Buy from them if you like, but consider this a warning.

Wompus makes racks for Scootworks. Buy from him and cut out the middle man.

My bike is going in to the shop on Sunday until Friday and I have Laconia on Saturday. If you want I can ride up anytime after that and you can get a look at the rack and how the top plate is attached.
