Pickup truck bed liner
Those of you who drive pickup trucks, what brand bed liner do you use? What motivated your choice? Are you happy with your choice? If not, why?
Thanks

I don't use a plastic bed liner or spray on liner, mine is a heavy ribbed rubber mat and matching mat for the tailgate. Both are about 1/4 thick and the tailgate one is screwed on, while the bed mat is removable. I don't remember the brand, but maybe LMC truck parts may have it. I bought mine at a automotive shop. The two things I prefer about the mat is it comes out in 2 seconds to clean under and it is really non slip, put something in the back and it stays put no skidding around.

My brother had a plastic liner in his but ended up getting rid of it and using a rubber one similar to what cnc has described.

I've always had the plastic drop in bed liners, but the Nissan Frontier I have now came from the factory with a sprayed in liner. Nothing slides around, and if you drag a plastic shopping bag across it, it'll tear holes in it, it is pretty rough in texture. All things considered, I think I prefer the drop in liners, the ones that fit under the rails.

I have the plastic liner as well, its never been a problem. On my next truck I will look into the spray on Rhino Liner, from everything Ive seen & heard they are very tough and almost indestructible.

Current truck has Line-x. Last truck had Rhino Liner. Like them both. Prefer sprayed in liner over drop in liner because drop in liner causes rust in the bed.
The only thing I dislike about spray in liners is when I throw firewood in the truck bed sometimes it causes dents in the floor and wheel wells of the bed. Something that could be remedied with a rubber mat, which I've been considering. I think what kind of liner you get depends on what you plan on using your truck bed for.

Mine is factory spray in. I have had plastic drop in ones in the past and did not like them for the reasons stated above.

I also like the rubber mats for what need, and the price compared to spray on. I had a drop in plastic one and besides wearing the paint off it rattled to.

Over the years I have seen at least two drop in liners laying along the side of the freeway. I bet those owners don't like drop in liners anymore either
My Frontier has the factory sprayed liner but its beat up pretty bad now. The one negitave of sprayins is you can't remove them when they start looking shabby. I'll probably buy a bed mat to dress it up.

I have been using the plastic liners sense they first came out on the market. As stated, any thing in the back not tied down will be in a different place when you stop the truck. The other downfall is they do remove to bed paint on the high points under them over time due to vibrations. After 5 years and some miles there will be some bare metal under it. Ofcourse, newer trucks have less metal in the bed to rust now.

I've had Line-X in both my last trucks (I didn't install them). They work okay and are pretty tough.

Thanks everyone. I like the durability and look of Line-X so that's probably the way I will go providing that it is not cost prohibitive. There is just something unnerving about having the paint on a brand new truck destroyed in order to get it sprayed.

I don't haul cinder blocks or bricks anymore so I have a factory rubber mat.
I like it.
