Stock mufflers
I was just browsing eBay, looking for a pair of stock VN1600 take offs in case I ever need to switch out my debaffled cans. Found a set of mufflers only for $150. The seller wants $88.19 to ship UPS ground from GA to AZ.
I DON'T THINK SO! That seems just a tad excessive.

The really good deals on Ebay usually do have a pricey shipping fee. I agree CJ, that is extremely high. I am an FFL dealer and can have a $1,500 rifle shipped to me cross country for less than $35. I'd keep looking....

Try going on Delphi or VROC forums, A couple weeks ago a member was giving away two sets of pipes for cost of shipping. Usually I see them there between $50.00- $100.00 plus shipping. Id keep looking.

Just reference CJ, I paid $150 including shipping, and don't feel like I stole them.

I don't remember what I paid to ship mine, but it was a lot. UPS quoted me a price, and I put it in my ebay listing. When I got to UPS to ship them, it jumped considerably and I ate it.
With I remembered how much, but it seems that perhaps 60-70 a couple of years ago was about right. I shipped a Venture trunk last week, it cost $44 to send, and it weighed only 22lbs. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

I shipped a complete exhaust system for a Suzuki C50T a while back and it didn't seem that expensive.

This thread brings up an interesting thought for me. I actually still have my stock exhaust sitting in a box. I never considered selling them. I don't like using Ebay, so I'm not sure how else to get rid of them. I'd post in the 'For Sale' forum, but don't want to start some private message war.

The nomad system is big and heavy. Almost 45 lbs IIRC. It costs a lot ot ship.
I got a set for a 1500 that somebody can have if they just come and pick them up. Otherwise, come November, I'm stripping off the hardware and junking the rest on neighborhood cleanup day. |
