Review of Chucksters Large Lowers

These suckers are HUGE.
I was surprised at how big these things were compared to the stock lowers.
They are very well made as far as the finish of the edges are concerned. They are very thick as they need to be because of the size of them...to keep them from cracking when going against a strong headwind.
Did I say these things are HUGE?
They are massive sized lowers......But they seem to work very well....I just need to get used to the size of them and how big they look when installed on the bike.
Someone that does not have these lowers will probably say to you "Damn those are some big lowers"
I don't know how many others have these big guys on there bike or how they like them or not.
But...I think I can get used to the size of these and they do seem to work good..
Overall...Well made good product.
Thanks
Doug Klaevemann

Hey CJ, Has it made a difference on the buffeting or did you have a problem with it with the stock lowers?

OK , Don't take this the wrong way or get offended but I think lowers that big look ugly. I had some on my bike for about 5 min. I had to cut them down to a reasonable size. They still do a fair job of blocking the updraft but look better in my opinion.

This is as big as I could stand from a looks stand point ;)

I'm with you on the "so big they are ugly"
No way am I offended.....Just got em yesterday and put em on.
I also think they are way too big and that's why I posted them and was looking for comments on the size of them.
I have made lowers before for my previous bike using the polycarbonate (lexan) and they came out pretty good.
Will probably end up cutting these down some or using these as a template but reducing the size a little.
I think Joe (chuckster) may have done a little overkill here with this size....No way did I think they were going to be this big.
Thanks for the input.

Sorry fi I offended anyone in making these lowers. I find that making them smaller defeats the purpose of adding larger lowers to the bike. I have had mine on for 3 yrs now. Then since the fairing came about I have made them even a bit larger so they come up to meet the side deflectors on the fairing.
If anyone has a idea of a cut down (reduced) size please let me know and I can alter my cut program.

I'm not offended Joe....I was just a little taken on the size...I'm gonna try them as is for a while.
It was just that after removing those tiny little stock lowers and them installing yours and comparing them....It was like...WOW...what a difference.
Yours ARE huge compared to the stock ones.
Even though..still...they are well shaped and very fine machine cutting is excellant.
They are starting to "grow" on me now.....I just need to quit looking at the ones I took off.

By the way....Thanks for your excellant communication and very fast and effecient shipping.
You are great to do bussiness with.
Doug

Joe, my man, no problem. Not offended in the least. Just my opinion that they are to big for my taste ;)
Your risers are perfect though and you are a great guy to do business with. As a matter of fact I have never done business with anyone better.
Thats why I asked everyone to not get offended. It is just my opinion on the lowers.
You know what they say about opinions

TC, quick question....What's on the top of your saddlebags? I see the rails in your sig line but in the photo you included for the lowers, it "almost" looks like solar panels. You're not experimenting with an alternate fuel Nomad, are you?
