Batwing Fairing Question
I have a 2000 1500 FI Nomad. I want to put a MS batwing on it. I find numerous listings for 2001 1500Fi applications but nothing showing the 2000 model year.
Can anyone of you gurus offer info as to the difference in the fork area that would have changed between 2000-2001? Thanks, Rick

From 99 to 04 the fork spacing is the same, on 05 to 08 the forks are spaced a 1/2" further apart.
That fairing should work if its for a 1500.

Perhaps you should speak with Memphis. That fairing requires a mounting kit that does not show available for the 2000 Nomad FI. I may be incorrect but I think the vulcan classic and nomad FI models were introduced as mid-year models in 2000. That may be why the application chart is written the way it is. That 2000 model had funny forks borrowed in part from the Drifter. http://www.motorcyclecruiser.com/kaw...500-classic-fi
