Raced a Nomad today

Dave, Larry (nomad ryder) and I rode to Lockwood Valley today 300 miles. Larry is the new guy here with a 1500 first year fuel injected Nomad.

I raced a Vision more than once with pipes, air filter and tuned. My 06 has gutted stock pipes goat bladder delete modded are cleaner and I got my ass handed to me every time. Victory won hands down not even a race. He let me leave first and everything. The Nomad is a turd to say the least. Have not raced a HD yet but probably will lose to them as well. Nomad = Turd with a capitol "T".

Yup you will loose. Nomads are about walking down that hill and getting them all. You can start in Maine and ride to Cal change the oil and ride back to Maine, change the oil and ride back to Cal.... after 13,000 miles you will need a new ft tire. Depending on the rear tire if it is a bike tire you will need a new one in 9,000 miles there too but if it is a Car Tire you can get 22,000 easy. meanwhile the HD will be in the shop for all sorts of things.

Nomads are not fast and if you bought one to be fast you just bought the wrong bike. A Nomad will go 2 up all day and all night and pull a trailer too.

Stock HD's aren't fast either, but if you drop enough hard coins you can make them fast about 3 times the cost of a stock bike new the day you buy it. Then it will be one hellova bar hopper between tows.

if you want pretty fast for a buck go R-6... If that doesn't cut it, go Hayabusa but get a really good angel first

Previous bike was a Busa, owned it for ten years and 40k miles. Loved it.

No one races a Nomad. You show off for your Nomad owner friend.

All I said was I raced a Nomad Tim. I wanted Dave to make it a 3 bike race but he said it was just a waste of gasoline. .

From my house to the junction is about 1/4 mile, my neighbour got a three legged jack russell that wont stop yapping, every time i go out that little shit runs backwards/sideways trying to bite my front tyre, then gets to the junction first and sits there with a smug look on his face, i would love to run the little bastard over, but he,s too quick for my bike
