Ok, I am curious as heck here. Who has run the set and what kind of mileage have you gotten from these ? What is the best mileage tire running on a nomad ?

I replaced my stock Bridgestones less than a year ago with 6,000 miles on them . . . I now have almost 7K on the CII's . . . They still look and handle great . . . Should easily carry me through this year and well into next . . . at the way they are wearing I anticipate at least 18K on the set . . .

I'm also curious about Commander II tires and I have done a lot of research and read many reviews and the only real negative I've seen are some complaints about being slippery on wet roads can anybody here that is running this tire give us some input how this tire handles on wet roads.
I'm thinking about putting a 150/80-16 rear and a 130/90-16 front on my 04 nomad I think this is the combination that Sin City Stan is running.

I ran a set for 4000 miles rain or shine here in Florida. No problems that I noticed - wet or dry - and it looked like they were going to last forever.

I thought the wet road performance was better than the stock Bridgestone Excedra's. I've got 18k KM's on mine so far which was the absolute limit for the stock rear and would have been near bald and I still have 5/32 left on the rear.

our stock size on 1600 are rear 170x70-16 closest of Commander II 180x65-16 front 150x80-16 commander 130x90-16 unless you put their 150x80-16 rear on the front I am looking to put a set on about a month prior to Nationals for the trip I have about 6,000 on my Brigstones that had just been put on before I bought it figured use them up this spring and get new set of Commanders for the trip to National Rally

I went with the CCII 180/65/16 on the rear and am actually very happy with it so far. I am still debating on whether to put the 150/80/16 rear tire up front or go with the 130/90/16 front tire. I will probably go with the 130/90/16 this time around and see how it does just because it is listed as an actual front tire.

my rear tire has 7-8/32 left

my wife will need a new front tire to replace her stock tire, maybe I'll put a ultra on it if they have that size.

That sounds pretty good, this new one I have to go on the front is a rear 150/80/16 and it is dead on between 9/32 and 10/32 checking many times in different places.

Looks like the Ultra Metzeler just comes in the same size as the Commander II 130-90-16 and 185-65-16
