need yalls advise on fuel processors

Hey Guys, I have a 06 Nomad 1600 and Im looking to put some Vance and Hines pipes on it after the holidays. I have heard i need to put a fuel processor on it before i do the pipes because of the lean fuel issue.

My question is what is the best affordable fuel processor out there?

If you are just putting pipes on the bike, no fuel processor is needed.

If you plan on opening up your air intake, then I would recommend a Techlusion tfi. They are cheap and easy to install.

I got a V&H FuelPak but I haven't installed it yet. I have V&H pipes and will have a Chucksters intake. And mine was cheaper than the rest. :)

None of them are what I call inexpensive. I have the Cobra unit and it cost around $200 which is about the same price for most units.

+1, got it from http://www.customdynamics.com/
I think at the time I ordered it they offered a KawNow discount. Might be worth a phone call.

Yes Custom Dynamics does support KawaNow and the discount pops about 9 to 10 bucks off of the shown price.
Give them an email and they will send the discount code to you

Another vote for Doebeck TFI. Easy to install. I put it on when I opened the air intake using the Caddmann kit. When I added V&H pipes, no adjustments needed.

I had a Cobra FI2000 on a Suzuki C50 and a Power Commander III on the 1500 Classic. I didn't like either one and removed them. Just used the OEM intake with aftermarket pipes.

"BIGMAT",

"06" here too. I've got the intake opened up and a set of cobras on mine. I like the TFI personally, had them on my last three bikes and worked like a charm. Besides my Nomad I used one on my DL 1000 and a built Buell Cyclone. HTH!

Regards,
Lawrence
