Greetings! I need to replace my rear brake pads. Any suggestions on what and where to buy? I really do appreciate all the help I've received from the folks on this site

Check out this thread. :)
I bought the same ones trosco mentions in the second post. But I haven't put them on yet, so I don't have an opinion on them. http://www.vulcanbagger.com/phpBB3/v...ic.php?t=21749

I plan to go with the Sixity sintered pads when I replace mine. Have had good luck with sintered pads.

Interesting responses from all. I had to do a quick change and the dealer only had the oem organic pads. They were crap and when I got the chance I was able to get oem sintered and they are fine.
Is there a price/performance advantage to the Sixity pads?

Well, It looks like "Sixty Sintered" by a landslide! These sound like they would work well with the GYTT!

You can go to Sixity's website or on Ebay. I got all three sets shipped for $48.00 and here oem are about $55.00 per set.

So, why is everyone choosing the sintered pads over the ceramic pads? Reading Sixity's descriptions, it seems that the ceramic pads would be better suited for our Nomads.

I had a pair of another brands sintered pads, and they didn't last worth a rats ass.
The sixity ceramics are performing and lasting quite well for me. MT

Need rear brake pads
I just replaced all my pads with Sixity's sinitered pads this afternoon. 23,000 miles and original rear were shot. Fronts had lots of life but i replaced them all anyway. The rear was way soft for a while, I took it out and did a few "panic stops" to seat everything and now they feel great.

When I need to replace I will go with OEM. I have just over 15,000 miles with no problems so far. Hope I can get that many more miles out of them.
