Heavy rain caused Nomad problems.
Those that was at MV remember the monsoon rain we had Wed. Ken and I were at a restaurant when it hit and I was actually wondering if the bikes would blow over in the parking lot. Anyway, we left when the rain slowed and went back to the motel.
I have some blue ancillary lights on my bike. I had not turned them on but when we parked at the motel I noticed some of them were on. I check the switch - it was in the off position- turning to on position made the blue lights come on brighter. So out in the rain and dark Ken just took the seat off the nomad and disconnected the battery. Thurs morn he was able to just disconnect the ancillary lights. But then I put my key in the ignition...oops remember something needed to put in saddlebag. My key would not come out of the ignition! Ken pulled and pulled and finally got it out...we noticed the key had water on it. A couple of more tries and the same result...difficult to pull out....water again on the key we had dried off. So Ken went on his bike got a can of air spray and can of some kinda of electrical dry out stuff. That did the trick. I never had that ignition key deal before. Guess my nomad no like being drowned. :-/
