Top Cat Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Peoples Republic of New York State Posts: 15,154	Computer help again, Please I bought a wide screen monitor as my dinosaur monitor finally craped out. Here's the problem. My old monitor was 16" diagonal. the new wide screen is 20" diagonal. If I have it fill up the whole screen it is compressed downward. A circle looks like an oval. If I have it so it appears normal, there is 2 1/4" on both sides that are black and not used. So I still have the same size picture.
