Nomad vs Classic
A buddy bought a 2004 1500 Classic today. What differences are there in them except for the obvious (bags, floorboards, windshield, wheels etc)? I thought they had the same seat, motor, shaft drive etc. His is a 2004 but it's carbed. I thought they were all fuel injected by then. Will the Nomad backrest bolt on? He may be looking for some parts. I know he wanted a backrest, luggage rack and windshield.

Nomad vs Classic
I had two Classics prior to the Nomad, both carb'd. After I had ridden the Nomad for a while, I took a spin on a Classic and it felt like a sport bike in comparison. I liked to tinker with the carbs, but the fuel management and FI sure make things start-up smoothly, especially in the winter.
Accessories and add-ons: you're pretty much starting over. There is some overlap, but not for the expensive stuff.

Nomad vs Classic
Both of my brother in laws have 2005 classics one a 1500 and one a 1600 (thats what started me looking for the nomad I have now) both are FI have rode the 1600 and other than the bags and floorboards (he already had them on) and lowers it seemed to ride about like my Nomad really do not know what he had added when he bought it.

The 1600 Nomad and 1600 Classic are geared differently.

Nomad vs Classic
The Nomad has dual front rotors, and a dual charging system as well.
