$3,000/Night - who pays?

I see that the the head of the IMF, Strauss-Kahn, is accused of rape in NYC. Time will tell if he did or did not do such, but I do have a question.

How the hell is he paying for his $3,000 hotel room!. Is that coming out of his pocket or is the IMF (which means USA) paying for his lavish life style ??? ???

I wouldn't pay that out of my wallet. But if you will, I'll upgrade immediately.

His current wage was reported as $420,930 annually. That's a little less than I make as a public school teacher.

An update to the cost...

The receipt provided showed where the room cost was approximately $500 (I don't remember exactly the price to the penny.); which is actually not a bad price for NYC. No one is arguing with that fact, as apparently the receipt was valid.

While I, personally, believe the guy is a elitist dirt-bag and should serve the maximum time for the crime... we must be careful in allowing misinformation to be circulated.

kinda makes you wonder why a guy of that kind of power is stupid enough to pull a stunt like that where he would obviously be leaving himself open to be caught. He didnt get where he is by being stupid.
Would also think someone in that kind of position would be powerfull enough to hire a hooker. He obviously had the money to buy some high price arm candy for the night.

doesnt make much sense.

NriderUSA, I wonder how many times he has gotten away with this stuff in the past. Here's a guy who is very wealthy and a girl probably barely getting by. She is no match in a he said, she said situation. That is if he is guilty.

Obviously not!! I'll even give a guilty man the respect of the "truth in fact"... then I'll still hang-em!
