MP3 Player Bracket/Holder

I've got a set of handlebar speakers coming and will need to mount my MP3 player somewhere..need to be able to access it so I can spin the volume wheel on the front.....How do you have your mp3 player mounted?

Player is about 3 inch tall, 2.5 wide.

Pictures and ideas appreciated :)

Check out http://www.ram-mount.com/. They may have a mount for your specific MP3 player, or they also have generic mounts as well.

I tried all the nickel and dime stuff to mount stuff to the handle bars and finally got smart and started using the Ram mounts.Believe me,it's the way to go.

Derry,
I can't take credit for this idea, Scott (Eggman) showed it to me. Buy a arm/wrist band holder that joggers use from Walmart for $6. The velcro strap goes around the LH bar control right next to the mirror. The little pouch protects the player and yet lets you operate all the controls and you can zip it off the bike in 10 second when you need to.

I've done some research on motorcycle XM radio mounts, including Ram mounts, and I can't find anything that will work other than with the XM Roadie, Roadie2 and Roadie XT, all of which have the connecting cords plug into the side of the radio receiver. We have the next generation receivers that plug into a docking cradle. I can't seem to find anything to fit that kind of XM radio. Anyone have suggestions? I'd appreciate it. Rather, my wife would, as it's her bike that needs a mount. Mine works fine. Thanks.

i like this T.....got a pic by chance?

Ram mounts eat up handlebar real estate (which right now has a cruzer caddy on it and soon to be speaker mounts....

Heres a place that makes some really nice mounts, may be a bit pricey but they are the best Ive seen.

Grego ,just buy a roady II off of ebay It will probably be less that the ram mount. A set of headphones and away you go. I ran a headset wire back to a location under the seat for less cord hanging by the controls. You can also get hard wired power supplies . or mnt a power port and plug in

If going the headphone route, I recommend Comply foam plugs if you already have earbuds. I also bought the Comply earbud headphones because I didn't have a good set of ear buds.

Wonderful job at ear protection by minimizing wind noise in a half helmet (Skorpion). I can adjust the sound to a normal listening level prior to starting the bike and, up to about 60mph, can listen to talk radio and not miss any words. Beyond 60, I have to start increasing volume, but still have full wind noise protection.

I've been very impressed.

Ya know, that also occurred to me, and I just might do that. We have the J&M JMCB2002 CB radios mounted on our bikes, and they work well. They have a separate audio section with its own volume control for a music source/GPS, or whatever. The audio cord simply plugs into the headphone jack in the radio or music player. Works well. For some reason, I just can't get the XM for my wife's bike to use. I did come across a source for docking cradles, and I might try that before going a whole different route. The cradle is only $9.95, so that's the cheapest way. To start, at least.
