New brake shoes

How much friction material is on a new set of brake pads ?
Both my front and rear pads all have about 1/8th left on them.

Thats good to know. I replaced the rears at 37,000 kms, now at 60,000 kms.
As far as I know the fronts have never been changed. All are OEM.

Think everyone will get the best service out of OEM's. When I replace that will be what I go with.

My front pads were worn down about half way, I kept checking them for a couple of seasons and they never looked any different. I finally did replace them, and the new pads work much better. I think the old oem pads got glazed and hard over time, and actually stopped wearing.
