Know it's late notice but I somehow missed cross-posting this from TXVROC board. With the weather clearing off today (albeit colder starting Thursday) should be a great trip.

That sounds like it would be fun. Just wish it wasn't 850 miles away from me. Love riding in Texas, especially the hill country.

Houston South contingent:
KSU @ 0730 from the Pasadena IHOP Beltway 8 Southbound between Vista & Fairmont.

Thinking of running south down 288 to Angleton, then southwest on 35 (through West Columbia and Bay City, etc ) staying off the slab as much as possible. Return trip probably up 59.

Southern route is 35 minutes longer ride according to Google maps but hopefully better scenery.

OOps, for various reasons, the northern group seems to be bailing. We'll have to catch everyone another time.

Hey Brik, sorry I didn't check in before the ride. Had to bail on this one with time constraints. I posted on the main board a No Go liad slideshow to spread a little sunshine. After my morning ride I moved two junks cars while I had help and pushed brush with the skid steer til dark.
Don't want to miss another one.
Larry, did you take any pics and how was the tour of the Mission? Did Lucille purr?

Sorry you couldnt make it Skeeter, we missed ya.
I only took a couple of pictures and havent gotten them moved from my phone to here. Had a great ride, and Lucille performed perfectly. Will change the oil this week to ensure there are no graphite/metal shavings left over from the bearing failure, but I'm satisfied that she's back to her old self again.

Presidio Tour was good. Lobo's history lesson was superb

LW, was it ever determined what caused your bearing failure? Just wondering what Kawasaki had to say about it.

Workload hasn't allowed me to catch up with my expert yet.

The way I see it there could be only three possible causes:
1) design defect
2) installation defect
3) bearing defect
