Illinois passes tax hike

Just saw on the news that the state of Illinois just passed a 66% personal state income tax hike! Yowzer, that's going to sting a little!

Got an email from my son and his family. They are fed up with Illinois and looking to move West. He has allot of assets to dispose of, but they are serious. Just fed up with Illinois.

Of course Grandma is bouncing off the walls with the prospect of grandkids being closer.

Hell, they have one of the highest tax rates in the not so free world as well.

As far as moving "west" Stay off the left coast as they are next in the "I want more of your money" movement

Being from Illinois (and in the same town Stan used to live in); I can tell you it is not good; but I kindly remind everyone this has been a Democratic State for a majority of its years and is directly related to its self-destruction.

It is also the adopted home state of Obama... and we have all seen what he and his cronies have done to our country.

As far as having the highest tax-rate... I am not sure about that. Our income tax was at 3% and is now set at 5%. We do have high real estate taxes and sales taxes though which add-up fast in overall taxation.

Our problem is that our politicians are the most corrupt and are spending fools.

Indiana and Wisconsin's governors were on local radio all day today laughing at Illinois (literally) and welcoming all the businesses that are going to leave Illinois... (corp tax was increased considerably which will kill economic growth in this state).

Just remember folks... this state is a legacy for what Democratic control can do for you. ;)

It is also a blueprint of were USA is going if we don't control our debt, size of govt and spending of tax dollars in general.

I honestly don't think he will make it through this term (6 years). Rumors about illness. But if I get the chance to vote against him again I certainly will.
