Spare Key

Anyone here got a spare key cut for their nomad?
any suggestions on where to get one - other then through the dealership?

Tried two of the key cutters in various stores - didn't have anything similar to the kawa key.

Just looking to get a spare to have on hand....(no - I won't tell you where I am planning to hide it!)

I bought a couple of keys on ebay and took them to a locksmith to have them cut. He said he had the blanks for half the price of ebay. At my old age, sooner or later I will lose my keys. So I hid one on the bike, if I can only remember where.

If you don't mind a generic key without the fancy bow (head), any locksmith will have it. Should be 3-4 dollars cut. What is that, about 25.00 Canadian?

Start with eBay and if nothing ther I would check with the dealer. They aren't like automobile keys with all the electronics in them. Shouldn't cost much at the dealer and they can cut them there.

I would say just go to your local locksmith. They have the keys and run $2.50 to $3.50 as others have said. I would only mess with Ebay if the locksmith didn't have any.

Local locksmith had blanks that worked and cut several keys for me. One stays in my wallet. Try them on the ignition and the bags before you leave just in case...
