Matt that is a sharp looking color you have. Looks really good and white walls would look good on it. I know Ring's bike looks really sharp.

The only problem with white walls is finding the correct size. You'll have to go down to a 150 on the rear tire.

I don't mean to hijack this thread.....

How are you Mike.? How's the house coming along? I could have used some of your expertise {still could probably} doing the kitchen reno at the cabin. I'm no carpenter/builder and there's a reason I make the morning paper instead. I smashed my thumb with my brand new "long handle" hammer within the first hour. Get what I'm say'in ??

Hope to see you next summer on my way to the National.... wanna go along??

What tires do you have on Mike?? I'm putting another stock rear tire on this time around but the next time I'll be changing both out and will probably go WWW.

Hey Rick

Things are good. We moved into the house about a month ago. Still a few things left for me to do like tile in the ensuite shower and jet tub. But I am leaving that for when the weather gets worse. Right now I'm siding the garage and any other outside stuff I can do before it gets cold. To bad about your thumb! Ouch!

These tires are Metz 880's. I'm not sure whether I will do WWW next time as its more work to keep them looking good.

Don't think I will make the national Rick. Just to far and not enough time. We are booked in for the Westcoast Rally.

We'll have to hook up for coffee again. C'mon spring! Hope your knee surgery goes good!

Mike

Thanks Mike,

Sounds like the house is coming along nicely.

Yes it's a long ways to ride {the National} but I will probably have the vacation time left over from this year to use. It would be nice to have someone riding along with me though. I'll probably be able to hook up with someone along the way. I'll be stopping in to say hello if all goes well. I'll see you at the Redwoods but I'm open to coffee again. Ya only a month without the Nomad and I'm already anticipating spring. I'll need to retire somewhere where I can ride 12 months a year I think.

On a 1600 you will have to drop down to a 150mm wide WW, for the rear. Your brands are also quite limited, Ive tried the ME880's and Dunlop Cruisemax & D404's. I like the Dunlops a lot better.
I just switched to a car tire recently, but will probably keep the WWW on the front.
