What went wrong ?

I ordered a new front fender foe my 2000 nomad. This is the part # for my fender 35004-5156-H8 and the box I received has the same part # on the box and ticket. When I opened the box I thought the fender looked smaller. and I held the new fender up to my old one and it is smaller. The brackets are about 1" away from the holes in the forks and the fender is narrower than my old one. I wonder if someone a Kawasaki put the wrong fender in the box. I now have to call Ron Ayers and see what to do. I do think Ron Ayers will take care of it . I will have to wait for the new one.

Ron Ayers are good people. Fortunately for me, they are right here in town.

It'll work out, but good luck with that just the same.

It wouldn't be the first time a part was mispackaged. Most likely it wasn't at the dealer level. It could have been at the parts distribution center. I have wondered in the past how a ball joint could come in a box with the part number for a head gasket. But then I toured a PDC for Mercedes Benz, and saw that even though all kinds of steps are taken to ensure proper parts fulfillment, all it takes is for one person to put an incorrect part in the bin...
