Evansville, Indiana...

I'm heading up to Evansville to a Rod Run on Thursday.
I'd love to be riding my Nomad there but instead I'm taking the wife in her 41 and leaving the bike at home. Been there on the bike a few times but only passing through.

She loves the rod runs as much as I love the bike gatherings, so we have to drive her street rod.

If anyone is in the Evansville area ya need to come on down to the best Rod Run there is!
If ya do, give me a call on the cell... (404)-405-1550... Mike

How are you getting the rod there? Driving it or trailering it?

1941 what? Lets see a photo.
I've never been to the Frog Follies most of my street rod friends have and all say it's a real great rod run. I've been doing the street rod thing for a long time. My girls grew up in the back seat of this 37 Plymouth and made friends with a lot of great kids playing those silly rod run games. I have given thought to taking the 37 down there and selling it. The wife and I enjoy the Nomad so much we never drive the 37. If I did sell it I'd put the money into my 55 Buick.

I have been to the Frog Follies several times it is a good show but very crowded
wheelie I was the same way after many years of Street rodding I stopped going any where in my 39 Chevy so I sold it but couldn't be with out some type of hot rod so I fixed my 65 Olds.

I have a 40 Plymouth 2 door sedan and the wife has a 41 Plymouth 4 door sedan.
Can't afford to drive both with these gas prices so we usually take hers. It gets a lot better gas millage then mine does.

Let's see if this link works...

I live 12 miles east of Evansville but won't be going to the Frog Follies.
Will be riding in KY on Sat and a Poker run on Sunday.

Oh by the way great weather forecast for this weekend, not as hot and humid as normal.

Nope, never been there. But in the last 19 years we've been to so many we can't even remember 1/2 of them!

Nice cars guys, Ive been a hot rodder for as long as I can remember. My mother tells me my first word was car.

I may as well post a shot of the 55. I have had the car for a long time. I think it's time to do some updating. I think it would make a great tow car for the dragster.

The 55 Buick Special...I had a black one just like that back in 74-76.
I always wanted the Roadmaster, but the Special was all I could find at the time...

Well, we made it to Evansville!
Only passed 2 other rods on the way..439 miles, and they were trailered.. ???

I noticed the helmet law doesn't exist here in Indiana. Not the brightest idea I've seen in a while.
It's funny how the driver won't wear the helmet, but the passenger does! ::)
Montene and I wouldn't dream of riding without head protection.

Me, I've been down wayyyyy too many times, and the older I get the more I need to protect what little brains I have left.... and those who know me can contest to that!!
