WOW what a difference between the bridgestone and the 880 feels like a new bike not sure if the radial makes a difference or not but much better feel of the bike.

Glad to hear you like the new tire. Yes, it is amazing the difference a new tire makes on a bike.

New tires always feel really good the first time out, don't they.
Keep them inflated properly and they should wear without cupping on you.

I installed the ME880's this spring and am happy with them. I run 36 psi in the front and 42 psi in the rear.

They are pretty good, but I haven't got the mileage out of mine that I thought I would. The rear is about due with less than 9K on it, where as the stone had closer to 10K. If I keep the bike I may go with Dunlop or not. New tires make a big difference though.

ME 880's

I recently put a ME880 180/70/16 on the rear and a MT90B-16 ME880 on the front. Running 42 in both. At first I though holy @#!# this was a mistake, the Metz handles way different than the Bias BS by alot. So, ive taken it real easy for the past two weeks, slowly learning how the bike handles again, into and out of corners, accel and brake ect. The last few rides ive actually changed my mind and now it feels alot more natural. What I didnt like was if going down the road at speed, rapidly counter steer rh and then lh inputs and repeat so the bike slaloms down the road (for lack of better term) it felt like the bike was going one way and the tire was going the other, almost out of time with each other. This was a bit un-nerving at first. But I want to know how the bike feels when at it's limit so its not a suprise later when I need to be able to manuver. Time will tell I guess. Wife and I are heading out 01Aug for an 8 day ride including the Northwestern rally in Kalispell, then home via Couer D'Alene Id and Fernie BC to Lethbridge, more payload means learning how it handles all over again lol.

Wow, I had gotten, now sit down, 18K out of my back and 22K out of the front. I run them hard and per Metzler kept them both at 42 PSI. I contacted them directly as they had reportedly imprinted the wrong PSI on some tires.

I have them, and I see no problem with handling. I think they are better than the BS that came new with it.

Congrats on the new shoes, the 880s improvement over the stock Brickstones is a big difference, But, when I switched to Avon Cobras, The difference was just as big in the improvement area over the 880s. I wore out the stock stone, two 880s, and the Cobra, and only got around 8,000 miles out of each. Last year I went "Darkside" and now have about 5,000 miles on the GYTT with less than 1/32 of wear. Still running the Cobra on front (in stock size) with 12,000 or so miles on it, and still should last another 3-4000 miles. I will replace it with another Cobra when the time comes.

There is a reason why the OEM tires are known as the brick.
