T-Bag

With 1,500+ members there must be some good experience out there with T-Bag luggage. Getting ready to make a couple big rides this summer to the Redwoods and later to Yellowstone. Give me your opinion on a good T-Bag for the Nomad with a passenger seat and standard Kawasaki passenger backrest. I also have the Fire & Steel luggage rack on the back. Trips will be made with my wife so the passenger seat is occuppied and the bag will have to go on the back luggage rack. I also have fender rails that it can be secured to with straps for additional stability.

T-Bag

I have a trunk, so sorry I'm no help.... but to say, that some of the T-bags on the market look very nice and in all actuality, probably pack more than my trunk.

T-Bag

No info on T-Bags but they do seem to be very nice equipment. Wife and I both have small overnight suitcases that I place in a large black garbage bag and bungee to the luggage rack. Sounds worse than it looks. Never had anything get wet. Also have side bag inserts with carry handles so we can carry a great deal to trip with. Have gone on a ten day trip to Nova Scotia and had everything we needed plus more.

T-Bag

I have had a T Bag since 04! Used it on my Honda and the Nomad till I got a Trunk.. It Holds Tons of stuff.. Fairly easy on and off.....The balance is real good if you pack it right.. IE Heavy stuff bottom etc.. Basically it is like riding with a passenger who doesn't talk or grip LOL.. Mine also has the Barrel bag, There are cheaper ones out there but dont know how they hold up....Mines was used 5 years in a row alot..... still in great shape, now my son will use it.......

T-Bag

Not the T-Bag brand, but I've been happy with my River Road model 10-8927 . http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/de...ssic_Bike_Pack
Fits the Nomad passenger backrest well, many don't. Like the look better than cordura, and I'm able to get alot of stuff in it.

T-Bag

T-bags are good. They are also pretty $$. Do some searching and you will find many options for equal or less money. The thing to look for is how it mounts. The nomad passenger backrest is wider than most so you want a bag that is either wide or a velcro strap that is adjustable. or you will be using bungees to attach it all the time. Also recommend you make sure and get a rain cover with whatever you choose.

T-Bag

We Have the T-Bag route 66 and the roll bag and net for on top. They make a great system and stack and hold up perfectly. Have used them on trips up to two weeks and in all kinds of weather. Sometime in Hard rain. The weather proof cover does it's job and tucks away neatly when finished.

I have had the two bags now for about two and a half years, almost three and for the past year have just kept the large one on the bike full time since we use it for every thing from grocery getting to one day hops. I also use my bike to comute to work. The thing is, The bag looks new and doesen't even show any signs of fading. And in our heat and sunshine, that is saying something.

They were pricey, but worth it. Zippers, corners, pockets, straps, all great. Very durable, and will hold a lot of stuff. I'd do it again, although it hurt to write the first check.

T-Bag

Dennis, I have a Saddlemen with barrel roll on the top. I will have to check which model it is, but I love it. Got it used, and have used it a good bit. I have used it with just me, with it sitting on the pillion, and have also used it with Glee and myself, with the back on the luggage rack. One thing I really like about this bag is that it has a fastener that comes over the top of the passenger backrest and attaches at the bottom of the bag, so the bag cannot fall off of the luggage rack. In addition, it has 6 velcro straps that come around from the side to keep it on. I never have to worry about the thing falling off! The rain cover is also great to have.

Dennis: the T-bags are great products. I own the Tahoe so does my brother. They are very well bmade and hold up well. No problems so far. Pricey but all luggage is for bikes.

T-Bag

I have the Kuryakyn full dresser, it has a velcro sock that goes around the sissy bar so you can adjust it to fit the nomad or what ever you ride.I also like the internal shelf sytem. This plus lots of small accesible outer pockets makes this bag a good choice in my opinion

T-Bag

I have the T-Bag by Riggs. Awesome product! I pretty much rode under water for 5 of the 7 hours to the SW Rally on Saturday, and everything inside was dry as a bone. A multitude of tie-down options too.

T-Bag

I have the ICE- bag by t bags and it works great. Came with a liner to turn it into a cooler. Works great. With it was a touch bigger. Went to Americade last weekend and it fit all my clothes. Fits real snug on the backrest. Tried several other brands and there mounting system wouldnt work. Top quality hands down.
