Wife's First Ride on The Nomad

My wife finally decided to take a short ride with me on the Nomad today. We took a nice, easy leisurely ride of 24 miles. Started to sprinkle or we might have rode further. When we returned she said that she enjoyed it and is already talking about taking a ride next week when I am off from work.

Thats great! My wife loves to ride with me too. She says I'm safer on the bike than in a car so she trust me. She is pretty comfortable on the Nomad. Maybe we can get the south central group to do a ride closer to you so she can do a short ride with us. Where is Boaz Alabama?

Thanks guys for your replies. I have been waiting for just over a year. I do think you really enjoyed it. It was a pleasure for me to be able to give her a good ride.

Zoom, I have on US Highway 431 between Huntsville and Gadsden. It is 45 miles south of Huntsville and about 25 miles north of Gadsden. I am 15 miles south of Guntersville which is on the Tennessee River.

If the South Central group gets a ride to meet at the Barbers Museum think she would ride that far with you? See the South Central Board.

You'll have her hooked soon enough. My wife never wanted me to get a motorcycle, let alone a big one like the Nomad. Now, if we don't take a long ride every weekend, she gets a little upset.

Throw in a stop at her favorite Starbuck's or romantic spot (coast?) and she may just want to get a bike of her own!

That's great Gene. Mine loves to ride too. If I want to ride solo, I have to push it out of the garage and down the driveway so she doesn't come running with hement in hands. That's OK though, I enjoy the company.

It was really a pleasure taking her on the ride. Yes Zoom I think a ride down to the Barber Museum might fit in fine for her. I will have to check the board. A lot depends on my work schedule. Thanks for asking though.

That's great Gene. My wife just started riding with me last September. After forty years of refusing to even sit on a motorcycle. She loves it!

It was great being able to take her for a ride. I am off the next two days so maybe if the weather is permitting we will get a ride in tomorrow.

Just be careful Gene...... Riding double take a lot more concentration and skill. Not questioning you lack either. Just be safe so her confidence in you builds..
