Arizona Official Threatens to Cut Off Los Angeles Power as Payback for Boycott

A member of Arizona's top government utilities agency threw down the gauntlet in a letter to Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, threatening to cut off the city's power supply as retribution for the city's boycott of Arizona.

The response from his office was, "we don't respond the threats!"

Isn't that a riot?! California threatens and then agrees to cut off Arizona's contracts with the state. Idiots didn't realize 25% of all the power we consume here is through Arizona contracts!!

There is no shortage of morons in California! I hope Arizona follows through and we have "brown outs" all summer long. I could deal with that!!!

Makes you wonder which is worse, being over run by illegals or being over run by stupid people? I believe the biggest danger is the later considering you can't return them!

BD,

Sounds similar to San Diego. They announced a boycott of Arizona due to this issue. Companies from Arizona have cancelled close to 23 meetings in San Diego already. San Diego is now crying "Please don't harm our economy and tourism." The article which I wish I could find stated that San Diego stands to lose around $10 million from just the loss of these meetings.

I just hope there will be more to come.

Because you can have a brain dead individual but the body just doesn't realize it yet.

What I find the most interesting is that so called educated individuals (mostly attorneys) admit they have not even read the bill. They just know it is wrong. Gives a whole new meaning to the word dumb.

The politicians might want to do a little more research before condemning things. My guess is that people from Arizona spend as much or more money in California than the other way around. They might want to rethink their position.

I am going to boycott California. No joke.

No more Californian:

Wine
Movies
Television
Dairy Products (they are the leading dairy producer now)
Fruits, vegetables, flowers, and other agricultural products
Financial services/products
...and anything else I can find or see that comes from California

Some may think I am joking... but I am not; and I know a whole lot of others that are going to do the same.

In fact; it has been sort-of a side passion for a few just to find out what products and services are from, and/or benefit CA directly -- just so we can spread the word about not buying them to others.

It really doesn't take much of a boycott to cost California "tens-of-milliions" of dollars.

Then maybe the idiots will quit voting in "fellow-idiots". ;)

States should follow Arizona's example and enact laws just as tough. Someone has to take a stand.

I forgot about wine.
By chance, dose AZ produce any reasonably price wine in a box or a screw on cap perhaps ???

Dern, I bet they make that great cheese that I love so much.

California should be boycotted for more than this Arizona deal..... they and a couple other states are going to be one of the biggest tax increases we are going to get ... to bail them out for the "Sanctuary" cities they are going broke supporting (I know its not the only reason but its a very big part of the reason).
Let them join the rest of the nation in the reality world.
