Mine came at 3-5-0 and I haven't even reset it. It seems to run fine at that setting. You might tinker a bit and see if it improves anything.

3-5-0 is the stock setting for a 1600 Nomad. With Cobra True Duals and a custom intake, mine is currently set to about 3-5.5-0.

2=4=0 with air and custom pipes---still runs a little rich, but that's OK, no knocking and reg gas.

What are the expected changes with a stock setup? I have a problem where my Nomad dies every now and then on take-off and was thinking about ordering a fuel processor to see if that corrects it. Has anyone gotten better gas mileage as a result of using a FP on a stock setup?

I have the stock setup on my 07 Nomad. I have the Cobra fi2000r. It smoothed out the engine at all rpm ranges. No more loping or stalling. I am very happy with the results. Don't know about fuel mileage. I never checked it. I have it set to the factory settings. Still get a little pinging in hot wheather if I lug the engine. But I think a little adjustment would take care of it. Not really a big deal. I shouldn't lug the engine anyway. I find the engine does run a little cooler.

I really haven't noticed any difference with the gas mileage. Bike does run smoother with the fuel processor and does run cooler.
