Technical Boards - Oil Filters

I noticed in the Periodic Maintenance section there is a sticky with cross referenced oil filters. Neither the HiFlo HF204 or the Emgo 10-82240 are included. Both these are highly regarded replacements for the OEM oil filter.

Hey Hammer, where are those sold? Those are brands I haven't seen anywhere around locally.

HiFlo in particular is a very well-made filter and I rate it higher in quality than most of the ones listed. A lot of the dealers stock that or Emgo as alternative replacements for the OEM. Emgo is used by a lot of racing teams. I guess it depends where you shop for oil filters.

They may be slightly more $'s than the listed replacements but $'s alone should not be the only criteria for a choice of a critical part like that.
