Father-In-Law Fell Tonight

Just wanted to pass along that my father-in-law who is 88 and has alzheimer's fell around 10 tonight and hit his head. My wife, one of her sisters and wife's daughter is with him at the hospital now. They have taken him back for a CT to make sure he didn't fracture his skull or have any internal bleeding. Just wanted you guys to know. Thanks.

I'm very sorry to hear this. When I first got married the family ask my wife and I to move in with our grandfather who had really advance Alzheimers. It can be very stressful, but there's no great gift of love than service.

It must be a hard time for all involved, hope your father-in -law did not sustain any serious injury from the fall.
My sister-in-law's father has Alzheimer's and at the same time her mum has cancer. They are at the point that they can no longer take care of themselves, and so it has been a very difficult situation for her family.

Prayers are with them. My dad had Alzheimer's and I know right where they are with taking care of him. It's a tough job but very rewarding when you look back on it as Jared said.

The tests at the hospital confirmed there were no permanent injuries. He has a bad bruise on his forehead and now both his eyes are black. There are three daughters and so far only my wife and her older sister are staying with him 24/7. Will try to keep you posted. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
