I recently changed insurance companies on my Nomad and was pleasantly surprised at the rate I got through geico.

Full coverage on my 06 Nomad with a $500 deductible, $3500 accessory coverage, and roadside assistance for $251/year.

That was a great price. Geico saved me over $250 when I left progressive.

Speaking of insurance, I spoke to my agent & asked if I were to be involved in an accident or the bike was stolen do they offer any kind of car rental plan. I know that it is available for the automobiles but they said that it is not for any type of recreational vehicle. All the cost of getting back home car rental, air fare or any other means would be out of my own pocket. Heaven forbid that I would need to use it but it is nice to have. The agent suggested in joining some kind of club with membership that offers these kind of amenities. We had an accident in our vehicle earlier this year & did not have car rental on our policy, we had to pay out of pocket. This may be something everyone needs to check into if anybody knows anything different the info would be nice.

I pay through Geico about $350 a year. I also have medical added to it. Perhaps a couple of speeding tickets, and them paying out many thousands on my dirt road flip bumps it up another hundred :(

But they are good to work with. I high-sided mine while traveling at a high rate of speed on a gravel road. I towed it out of the mountains to a Kawi dealer in Colorado Springs, when they wouldn't even look at if for a bid for another week, Geico paid to send it up to Denver to a dealer near me. They paid for a new helmet with no haggling, and paid for brand new parts on anything scratched at all. It didn't take any back and forth about it already being used (was only a year old though) they just paid for whatever it took to make it all new again.

They were responsive, returned calls, and treated me right. That's why I don't evern look at the fliers that I get in the mail from other companies.

Good info to know about Geico. I have them for both my vehicles and both bikes. Full Coverage for both bikes is $336/yr

Thats sounds like a good company to deal with. Here Jared would be paying over a $1000.00 a year easily for coverage like that.
Even I pay $490.00 and thats just with PL & PD on the bike, no theft or collision.

Wow, I pay $65/month for full coverage on mine, and that's with a multi-policy discount and mature driver discount. I can ride 12 months a year, so maybe that's a factor. I have a clean driving record and no claims in over 3 years.

I'm not too sure if they automatically discount it because I'll only ride 9 months of the year. But they do offer a winter storage insurance and when I'm done for the year I move it over to that. The storage insurance cost like $8/month.

I pay $357.00 a year with Progressive but all full coverage policy's are not the same I am like Dan and have medical on mine and if you ride double make sure it covers your passenger. When my wife fell off the bike 2 years ago they paid for every thing and she is still going to the doctor for her foot and they are still paying.

I pay $182.00 per year with Progressive, for full coverage. Must be less where I live.

Age, marital status, type of vehicle, tickets, accidents all matter. When I moved a mile away last spring, but into a new zip code, mine went down $20-30.

I'm in the same boat CJ. State Farm $621.00/yr.(House, car, truck, bike & clean driving record discount included.). It's driven by the number of vehicles in your ZIP code. More vehicles = more losses. I know people in Boulder City, NV. which is about 15 miles SE of Las Vegas which is somewhat of a rural area and they pay a third of what I pay for insurance.

Both bikes, full coverage, 12 months, $264/yr with Allstate. Clean record (for some amazing reason) plus two cars and house with same company.

What I don't understand is each year their (bikes and cars) value goes down but the full coverage insurance doesn't. I know this happens with other companies too.
