know a guy that bought one for his star 1300. said it was a good price but not the best quality ( a little thin for his liking)
Once he painted it to match teh bike it looked real good. Storage is ok, I think he said he can fit two helmets.

Not a bad looking trunk. It would probably do fine for holding a couple of helmets, but I would wonder if your luggage rack would be strong enough to handle a passenger leaning on it while riding.Dynamic forces would be alot greater than the rating on the rack.

That's a Mutazu DMY series trunk. I have one on my Nomad and that is the price they normally sell for. It's not an original HD tourpack. I'd say that is false advertisement or as close to it as you can get.

I'll jump in here. I've known quite a few people who used to own these. After time they develop stress cracks and several people have said don't let the passenger lean on them to hard. They are good for storage but that's it. Spend the money and get a good one otherwise you will be replacing.

My DMY is still holding up well after over 1.5 years. I think mine has held up well because I cut a piece of 3/16" aluminum the same size as the bottom of the inside of the trunk and bolted the whole unit to the rack through the aluminum and the trunk bottom. The DMY bottom is sandwiched between the rack and the plate giving it much better support and less stress on the four bolt holes.

I have had mine for almost a year. I also mounted with a plate like Cajunrider did. I have had several rides with trunks over the years, HD, Goldwing, BMW, and this one seems to as solid mounted as any and better than most. I almost dropped the Nomad to the right side but was able to grab the trunk to keep it from falling, so I would say "Saved by the trunk".

I had one of these on my '07 for over a year. It is what it is - a $100 tourpak. A real HD Tourpak starts at $800-$900. These are okay as long as you aren't expecting top quality. I replaced mine with a Scootworks Supertrunk III because I decided I wanted more capacity. I don't really ride 2-up, so I can't say how they hold up as a passenger backrest.

I have CJs old one. It is worth the price, but it is NOT an HD or Scootworks. If you are like me and just want something with a little room, it works pretty good. I need to replace the rubber seal, mine is starting to rattle a little.
Someday I will probably upgrade to the Scootworks trunk.
