It is amazing......

It is amazing what a little sunshine will do. Sun came out for the first time in forever today. After I cleaned up the yard from the last wind I fired up my Nomad.

It had been sitting over 6 weeks. She fired right up and I took her for a spin around the neighborhood. My neighbor buddy w/6 bikes was in his garage tinkering. We hadn't spoken since our last ride in November....now we were talking about getting a day ride soon and our next overnighter that is probably not until June.

The sun really gets you amped up in anticipation of the season.

What sun? Warm temps? Where??? ???

Where I live... during the winter we see the sun 50% of the time... the other half is always overcast and gloomy.

What is that depression called?... the one caused from the lack of sunshine?... SAR...SDR....???? I am to depressed to look it up -- but we get it all the time around here.

The sunshine here doesn't do anything to raise the temps enough to ride a bike though. Unfortunately, for us, we are another 4 months from riding again.

SAD, Seasonal Affective Disorder. Caused by shorter days and a lack of sunlight.

Occasional sunny day on the bike definitely helps. I could ride every month of the year here in eastern Idaho except for the fact that I live up a mountain side and my driveway and street are snow covered for much of the winter. Valley floor is good most of the time but I can't get there on two wheels.

Idaho... if I could ride during the winter as you say you could... I would store my bike in the valley in one of those small storage garages; and drive down from my house to ride it ;)

The sun comes out here in the winter. It is not warm enough to melt the snow till March or April.
But it sure does look pretty shining on th white stuff. It makes it sparkle I love it. :(

I will have to ponder that one. In the meantime I will tie flies under the high intensity lamp.
