New guy from S.C.
I just bought my 2nd bike, a '99 Nomad. I've been surfing this site for a while, researching before I made the purchase, and it's been a great resource. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions in the coming weeks, hopefully ya'll won't run me off too soon.

Welcome from Colorado and a fellow 99 owner. Did you determine if the Plastic oil Gear (POG) has been replaced? Other than that, you've got a nearly bullet proof ride!

Hey,,, aaahhh,,,, FRED (phonetically speaking of course) Welcome and nice looking scooter!

So upstate SC eh? That would be the west end in the foothills? Great area to ride! Little chilly this time of year though.

That was one of the first questions I asked of the previous owner. It's already been replaced.

Yeah, "Fred", its a nickname my uncle gave me years ago, his spelling too. I have no idea where he came up with that, but, whatever.

I'm not too far from the foothills, but I'm closer to Lake Hartwell.

"little chilly" is an understatement, it's freezing here. The high for today is 32, so the new scooter has been pretty much parked since I bought it. Next week is supposed to get back into the 50's, so I'm planning on putting some miles on her then.
