Another Side Cover Question

This kind of goes along with Utah's question about the bottom of the side cover being flat black. My question is why did they only put the Kawasaki logo on the right side panel. When I first noticed it on mine I thought they had made a mistake and left it off the left side panel. Didn't find out for sure until I was at a site and pulled up a parts list and it showed only one Kawasaki emblem for the right side.

Another Side Cover Question

Mine came with a Kawasaki emblem on each side cover. I think those emblems were harder to get of than the yellow saddlebage stickers were.

Another Side Cover Question

You have 3 options, Gene...

1. Take off the single Kawasaki badge. End result: both sides are the same.

2. Order another badge for $20 and mount it on the other side. End result: both sides are the same.

3. Do nothing. Life's too short to sweat the little stuff, and people can't see both sides at once, anyway. End result: more money and time to drink beer.

There is one more option.
I have the one I took off and he can have it if he wants it.

ANR....since I notice you ride the best and fastest color Nomad, (that would be BLACK for you non-believers) and I happen to have a black right and left side cover with "Kawasaki" emblems on them, and since I replaced them with chrome covers, I think I can help you out here.....you are welcome to the one or ones that I have for whatever it will cost to ship them from NC to Alafreekinbama :) :).

So Todd, how much did your 'black bike" slow down with chromed covers?

Sometimes you DO have to add chrome to the black bikes just to slow them down enough to handle. Otherwise they can be just too hot.

Uh, chrome don't gitcha' home....

You do know that isn't real chrome doncha'? not on plastic... There might be a copper layer inder the bright aluminum, which is what that bright stiff is on plastic, but it ain't real chrome at all...

That aluminum is sprayed and cured in a vac oven set up, and ends up a lot like chrome...
