Really good tune and great payback to United Airlines for destroying his guitar!

A musician named Dave Carroll recently had difficulty with United Airlines. United apparently damaged his treasured Taylor guitar ($3500) during a flight. Dave spent over 9 months trying to get United to pay for damages caused by baggage handlers to his custom Taylor guitar. During his final exchange with the United Customer Relations Manager, he stated that he was left with no choice other than to create a music video for youtube exposing their lack of cooperation. The Manager responded : "Good luck with that one, pal".
So he posted a retaliatory video on youtube. The video has since received over 5.5 million hits. United Airlines contacted the musician and attempted settlement in exchange for pulling the video.
Naturally his response was: "Good luck with that one, pal".
Taylor Guitars sent the musician 2 new custom guitars in appreciation for the product recognition from the video that has lead to a sharp increase in orders.

It is a shame but he was treated as I expect any big company would have. They don't give a rats a** about you, just your money.

I don't like airlines and despise flying on them always (and I love flying as I am a pilot).

The airline business is likely one of the absolute worst-run business models in this world.

That is what government subsidizing does for an industry.

It turns it into a replication of the business-model of your local DMV office -- where you receive the greatest service by some of the most caring individuals one can find!!!!

I liked the video. It isn't just big business that doesn't care about people. Small busy is just as bad only on a smaller scale. Money is really all that matters to any business.

Just a side note. It seems that some of the most important jobs are handled by the most incompetant people in the world. Give a call to the veterans administration, dmv, or the IRS and start asking a few questions. Most of the people have a problem opening their mouth much less answering your question.
