Screamin' Eagle on my Nomad

I went to a swap meet today and got a great deal on these Screamin' Eagle mufflers! It took a few hours to fabricate the necessary brackets and get it all put together, but now that it's done I'm happy with the new look and sound. What do you guys think?

I think both ways look good! :) Personally, I kinda like the V+H look some better but its what you like that matters the most. Did it quiet things down once changed? My V+H's are getting just to loud and will need to quiet them down as part of my winter work.

billz- I said I got a great deal on the mufflers, but really since the wife was with me it cost a lot more. haha. My accessories actually cost me double on most occasions, when it's a dollar-for-dollar deal with the wife. ::)

Really it sounds about the same now, but now that I have Harley mufflers I can customize tips in the future.

More importantly, how do they sound? Post a sound clip, I want to hear them.

How did you getthem to fit the head pipes and how did you mount the brackets?

'sup Dawg, I just really wanted to say that.

The V&H system has 1-3/4" dia. head pipes, which seems to be the standard from what I've found. So fitment there was a snap.

For bracketing and support, I used this bit-o-advice from one of Gadget's pages
http://www.gadgetjq.com/muffler_alte..._for_nomad.htm
My bracket is perfectly flat and only has 4 holes in it. This winter, when I have mine chromed, I might make some more because fitment should be the same for anyone else who wants to try any other style designed for Harley's touring fleet. ?? Oval would have been my ideal

Do they sound louder and lower than the V&H or about the same?

Very nice! I have the Supertrapp SE slip-ons with the Billet Slash tips - same muffler as yours just different tips. It's nice when you can pick between 10 or more different tips to personalize your scooter. I take it you like the sound? Not so raspy is it? I tried the turn downs but managed to scrape the heck out of them first trip out! Guess I shouldn't lean over so much!
