Low $ lay down plate mod.
Took off the stock plate mount. Drilled two holes in the plastic backing plate. Ground the raised part on the back off with the bench grinder. Bolted it back on with the stock bolts. Added the chrome frame and the bullets. I think it really cleaned up the rear fender area. And the best part it, was dang near free.

I did that same mod the first day I had my bike. It looks great and is sooo easy to do.
Good Job.

It need it to do the opposite. I need it to lay down the opposite way so that the speed cameras can't get it.
You're making it easier for the camera to see it! |

Dan, from what I have seen of your riding abilities you can prolly fly the Nomad inverted by the camera or ride along the power lines along side the road to avoid detection. As far as the mod goes it really easy, the only trick is drilling the holes so the plate is square with the fender and light.

Looks good! I too have done this same mod. Very simple and quite an improvement over the stock look.
