`Have a 2000 model which I have had for about two years. Put at least 20,000 miles on her in that time, nothing to report but good times. Made several modifications, ergonomic and performance. These I highly recomend! Just keep up on the fluids and simple maintanence and you should be fine.

Nothing really except common maintainance, oil changes, air pressure for tires.
Keep a eye on cam chain tensioners say after 30,000+ as you will want to add the extenders when they run out of adjustment. I have 54,000 miles on mine now and all in all a great bike!

Youll have to replace the clutch spring oneday as you will feel it start to slip on hills. I replaced mine at about 38,000 miles but it vary's bike to bike. It is a cheap easy fix to do yourself, and most guys upgrade to a Meanstreak spring. Gadgets sight has a wealth of info on how to keep your Nomad running and looking good. Heres the link.

Next rear tire replacement the bike should get new swing arm seals and the lube serivice..
Same goes for the head neck bearings at the ft forks. The brake fluids in both brake units and clutch should be changed each 2 years. This is in the book though...

Search are for Cobra luggage rack. Be certain you get one for the 1500 and not the 1600 bike, as they are very different racks and sissy bars.
Always take care to buy parts for the 1500, as it can get confusing. Many parts will swap, but many won't. This rack is one that won't.
