I have a 99 1500 When it gets hot it leaks from underneath the air cleaner, it's water or coolant, That buy the time it reaches the bottom of the barrel, it dries kinda milky. I never see it wet, but there a dried mark between the barrels and under the air cleaner???

I would remove the fuel tank, and check all the plumbing under there. All the hoses and clamps, and where the hoses go into each head. Over time the clamps become loose, and the rubber "O"-Rings that seal in the heads just wear out.

Yup, look for edges of things to encrusted in a white powder. That will be your coolant dry..

It may be leaking only after you shut down, when the coolant gets warmest... no circulation and engine heat add up to this is the warmest it gets, with the most psi.

On my 99 it meant the water pump seal was leaking.
I put in a new impeller and seal and it quit leaking.
It's simple to do, and while your at it change the antifreeze.

On those bikes there is a coolant line that runs up to warm the carb. Might have a small leak there at one of the hose connectors.
