Mount Magazine
Told some of y'all I was riding with this weekend how my in-laws were bragging about Mount Magazine and that we should make a trip up there for a vacation. They've been there before but were just driving by. I told them how beautiful and nice it was up there and told them about the Lodge. Now we (me and my wife, her parents and her sister and her family) have now planned a trip up there the Friday after Thanksgiving and want to spend the weekend at the Lodge. It should be really cool (can break out some serious leather) and really beautiful (Fall colors) by then. We're planning on taking a couple of vehicles (of course I'm riding my bike). Should be a lot of fun. Jamie

Hope you don't have any snow or ice up there in late November. I remember seeing signs warning of snow and ice after the end of September or October. The signs also stated that they don't clear the roads of ice and snow.

The fall colors may be gone by late November. They peak the end of October. If you are going to be in that area cruise over to Russelville and ride up Mt. Nebo also. There is a park on top of the mountain and a beautiful view to the east. The ride up Mt. Nebo has switchbacks like the ones on Mt. Judea we rode down.

Ditto what Watchman says about Mt. Nebo. Probably the best switchback road I've ridden is the road up to Mt. Nebo. It's so twisty that only RV's 24 feet or less are allowed to travel up.

Will probably change plans and go towards the end of October instead of November. Might be warmer and more colors. Don't really want to take my bike up there if there's a chance of snow. Thanks, Jamie

Mount magazine? I figured you were talking about a "gentlemen's periodical". Silly me.
