I have ordered a TFI from Dobeck and a 9" filter kit from K&N.
My plan was to run 5/16th fuel line from each of the auxiliary ports on the ics through to the other side to quiet the noise.
(from Gadgets page). Has anyone done this and what was the result? Once again thanks for all the great info.

I've never heard of anyone doing that. Seems like a lot of effort. Most people just disconnect them and cap the vacuum lines.

What would be the procedure for disconnection and capping?

1. Disconnect the two connectors on each of the solenoids.
2. Tape or otherwise insulate the connectors so the wires can't short to anything. << Important!
3. Wrap up wires and tie them out of the way.
4. Slide rubber hoses off vacuum lines where they come through the backing plate.
5. Slide vacuum port caps over vacuum tubes.
6. At this point, you can remove the solenoids by simply sliding them toward you off the little mounting tabs.

No problem. Learning by doing is a good way to learn.
