I thank my lucky stars that once again my buddy Rick was with me as we had to make repairs to the broken header pipe two more times on the road. This morning at the motel we tried the muffler tape only to have it melt and run down the pipe. Finially used some bailing wire to hold the pipe from slipping down. The heat took all the temper out of the hose clamps and they would not tighten up enough to hold the pipe in place. I guess the header gets much hotter than a muffler. That is when we found the clamps would not tighten down enough. And a mounting bracket on one of my stereo speakers broke, my driving lights quit, my front tire started cupping and of course my back tire is now bald. Boy what a trip! But by the grace of GOD and a little luck I arrived home safely. At least we did not have to ride in any rain. Tomorrow I start on the repairs and installing new tires.

It was good to see you guys again too. Hope we can all make it to ES this fall.

Glad to hear you made it home safe, in spite of all the problems. I thought your Nomad was new? I hope the repairs go well and quick.

His bike is new the pipes were off his 05 V&H, The other speaker bracket broke before he left and he decide not to change this bracket it looked ok. We changed the rear tire today, and put some cobras on that belonged to Rick (THANKS RICK) on there until we can get the V & H fixed. I Hope the weather is good tomarrow because I want to go riding, We can always finish the other projects later....

As Liz said, nothing that gave me a problem was the Nomads fault. The Vance and Hines pipes where off of my 05 and had over 60,000 miles on them, the driving lights came off of my 05 and the stereo came from China. The tires are the stock Stones with 8200 miles on them.

But the pipes are changed, the rear tires has been replaced so it is time to go riding again. The stereo and driving lights I can work on during bad weather.
