Cooler rack for trailer

My trailer has been pretty much complete for several months now. Just one thing was missing: a rack to hold a cooler. I contacted Joe (Chuckster) Norris and asked if he could build one for me. He said "Sure, just give me your dimensions." So I used Visio to make a little drawing with the dimensions on it and Joe built one for me. It arrived Friday and I had to prime and paint it. Here are some pictures of it.

As I was drilling the mounting holes on the trailer tongue:

A couple of shots of the finished product:

Thanks, Joe! Great work as always!

Looks good Scott, Joe did a nice job! Somehow though, knowing you I thought you'd have it plug into the bike to keep 'em iced! Have Phun!

Real neat Scott. Same size cooler as mine. Mine holds a 12 pk of longnecks with no sweat. Adds tounge weight too when it's stocked.

CoachA and I were talking about making a trailer hitch rack exactly like this but with a tube to mount on our hitch.

This is a really nice setup and I have decided to go buy my arc welder. I wanna make a few things now.

I need to break down and buy myself an arc welder too. I've wanted one for years.

If you do invest in a welder, your best bet would be a small MIG machine that uses wire instead of stick rod. It's so much more versatile for welding light material such as what we use for building stuff for our bikes. With a wire fed welder, you do have to have Argon gas for the arc shielding. Works the same as flux on a welding rod. I pipeline welded for 10 years before I started my career with Shell Oil in 1984 and all of my work was with stick rod. Looking at Chuckster's work on my hitch, I can see that he uses a MIG welder. Right Joe???

If I can keep her distracted with furniture then I can buy my own toys for the garage.
