I know dogs want to run along the fence or ditch. That is not a problem. But there is a dog that wants to run in front of me. Now if it were a chihuahua ok but he will go 75 LBS. Talking to the owner will go no where. He will not go after cars he prefers motorcycles. Anybody had experience with hitting a dog without intent.

Me, no. But a friend of mine, just recently. This time, it bent the front fender enough to stop the tire rotating. Bet cha can guess what happened next. 24 hours in the hospital, no serious injuries, thank God. But a lot of road rash and bruising.

He said he's done it before with no consequences. Well, for him, not the dog :(, but this one was different. He couldn't really say why. ??? Just hit the wrong spot.

Happened to me once about 35 years ago. Dog ran in front of me, me and my Kawasaki 175 went down on a gravel road at 30 MPH. All I got was a little bruising and a scrape on the hand. (Also bent the right handle bar but that was O.K., it matched the bend I'd put in the left one when I went down in a gravel pit.) The dogs owner was PO'd that I ran over his dog.

what you need is a pistol with a magazine full of blanks. slow down and fire a few rounds and see if that scares him off. other wise speed up and run the damn thing over.

Stop, pepper spray, drive away. Repeat as needed.

Watergun with a 2 % amonia and water solutation in it. It is quiet and works quite well. Spray them in the face.

A big Collie ran out in front of me in my neighborhood. he blind sided me so I didnt see him coming. he ran right at the front tire. Talk about re-sizing the pucker orifice. I did manage to miss the turd though. I can't go around killing dogs since I'm a vet, LOL

Got a cat once. Clipped the highway peg at about 35. Never saw where he went after. I am sure he got knocked silly.

Papat, do they have a leash law where you live? In many places, dogs can't just run free, they have to be in a fenced area or on a leash.

Hay cactusjack Nope we live out in the county I even have 2 big black labs, but if they were ever caught chasing cars I would take care of it. This dog has more stupid than most he doesn't just chase he wants to be in front. We will just have to be careful or the pepper spray may have to come out
