Since I'm the moderator of this area, I'll jump in and say that you can ask whatever price you like for the parts you are trying to sell. Either someone will buy them at that price, or they won't.

If I can offer some advice, it would be to look at previous postings of parts for sale to get an idea of the relative resale value. Even check eBay for more info. Some items hold their value more than others.

The original message disappeared. Either the original poster deleted it or Trip did. It wasn't me.

He had some stock take-off parts he was trying to sell. $350 for stock exhaust and $360 for stock seats + grasshopper backrest.

Nobody I know of would pay $350 for a stock exhaust system, and I personally wouldn't give you $.50 for a stock seat.

Hey All,

That was me...perhaps asking too much seeing as how most Nomad cats in here already changed out the stock seats and hanging on to em'. I didn't really have a good reference. Anyhoo, I changed the parts out at 3K, just a few months before I went on the Redwing 19 Ride last weekend. I can thread a different post for that if anyone is interested.

So I am now asking $150 for the whole exhaust system mufflers, pipes and goat belly all in excellent condition. $150 for the seats and the grasshopper BR. These are like new but don't be freakin' when they come in the mustang box. I would like for the buyer to pickup the shipping from Virginia Beach. I will entertain any offers. I am at a decision point where it's getting sold or getting stashed in my attic. Of course I did see somewhere in my late hours of surfing the net that someone made a shop stool with the stock seats, hmmmm. You guys have always been a great help. Thanks a lot. God Bless America!

That sounds better. Honestly, I couldn't wait to get the stock seat off my Nomad and get a mustang bolted on it, but some folks actually prefer the stock seat.

Good idea about the shop stool. It would also make a nice drummer's throne.

I never thought about a drummer's throne. That's not a bad idea, but I already sold my stock seat. Oh well. And Jedi Pawn, sorry if I came across cross.

This Custer trip will be the trip I need to determine if I get a aftermarket seat. If that's the case then I'll cough up the dough and get a Day Long custom saddle.

BD, the amount of riding you do you may want to see if you can just rent a seat then return it after Custer. Your probably not going to need it after that. ;)
